MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. — A Muscle Shoals Middle School student is in custody for making terrorist threats against the school.
On Wednesday, the Muscle Shoals Police Department reported that the parents of students who overheard the threats notified both school officials and authorities.
According to the police, the student was quickly located and taken into custody at his home by patrol officers and detectives before the start of the school day. He was then transported to the Muscle Shoals Police Department and later turned over to the Colbert County Juvenile Probation Office.
In a press release, the Muscle Shoals Police Department emphasized its commitment to thoroughly investigating any threats made against schools.
