Look out, Redstone Arsenal community! A new app is being tested for you in the new year.
The Army Enterprise app will get information out to you quickly about updates on issues like road closures and gate changes.
It’ll do more than the Redstone Explorer app that exists already. This one will loop into the Army and Air Force exchange system, which means families will be able to access coupons and get notices for the facilities they use on the arsenal.
Redstone Arsenal has been chosen as one of seven installations across the entire Army to be a pilot site for this new app.
Why…
“Because of our diverse center of excellence capability that we have here,” said Julie Frederick, director of public affairs for the U.S. Army Redstone Garrison. “Because of all of our tenant partners, both on the Army side, the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, we have so many new tenant organizations that are growing out here, they’re using us as an example for what that will look like for the Army Enterprise app.”
The pilot program is in January and the full app rolls out in March. The Redstone Explorer app will still exist.
They were looking for volunteers for the pilot program, but already filled all of those slots after a big response from the community.
