HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville is booming and businesses continue to open to serve the Rocket City.
A new Goodwill opened on Hwy 72 W, just across from Kroger. They're already accepting donations and they want you to go through your closets and find gently-used things that you no longer need.
Dave Wells, President and CEO of Alabama Goodwill, says, “All of us at AGI are proud to be expanding our mission in the Huntsville area, but this growth wouldn’t be possible without the community’s tremendous support,” said President and CEO David Wells. "We were very, very happy to have this store open. We've been working on it for over a year now and we're just very excited to get open."
Alabama Goodwill says the 21,000 square foot Shopping and Donation Center will feature a donation drive-thru, skills training center, as well as its retail store. “We keep our stores stocked full and fresh, and we are excited to invite everyone in to find their treasures. At AGI, store revenues are reinvested into the community to provide workforce development and other resources free of charge,” Wells added. The organization will host a four-day Grand Opening celebration with giveaways for families, donors and shoppers, including a “Fall Break Fest” on Saturday, October 9.
