HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — This weekend has some events to keep in mind! 

Community Fun & Wellness Festival - Happening on August 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This family-friendly event includes health screenings, sports physicals, bounce houses, inflatables, a petting zoo, free snow cones for the first 100, a DJ, giveaways, and more. 

Book Signing Event – Meet & Greet Qu Ran Dees - Heart and Sole Sneaker Boutique is hosting a book signing event on August 10 at 4 p.m. for the author of "Ladybug" and "Follow the Leader," two new children's books. Meet the author and get your books signed.

Mark White, Local Author, Book Launch (Athens) - Meet Mark White, voice of the Mark White show. He will be launching his new book at the library. Happening on August 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

Drop-in & CREATE: Cartoon Animals! - Happening at the Museum’s Great Hall, families with children ages 3 and can enjoy interactive art activities inspired by cartoon animals from the animation art exhibition. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult on August 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Back to School Bash (Huntsville) - Free event with inflatables, games, snacks, face painting, and free school supplies. Happening on August 11 from noon to 2 p.m. 

Rocket City Trash Panda Games - The Trash Pandas play the Barons in a weekend home series. 

4th Annual Rocket City Octane Auto Show -  North Alabama’s indoor car exhibition. People can expect trophy presentations and interactive activities for all ages at the Von Braun Center’s South Hall on Saturday, August 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

City Lights & Stars Concert Series - Check out Gwen & The Retro Kats on August 9.

Skate with Bluey - Happening on August 10 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Roller Time Skating Rink. 

Family Paddle Day - The final family paddle day on the Tennessee River at Forrest Paddle Boarding. Registration is required for the event, scheduled for August 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Yoga on the Mountain - Happening at Monte Sano State Park on August 10 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

The Market at MidCity - Every Sunday until November 10, from noon to 4 p.m., featuring 50 local vendors.

A Journey into Imagimation Exhibit - Showcasing over 100 years of global animation art! Explore this experience at the Huntsville Museum of Art from July 12 to September 29. 

Fun Fridays with P&L - Fun Fridays with Piper & Leaf, happening every Friday from April 26 to October 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. Enjoy an evening of activities, refreshments, and entertainment each week.

Shakespeare in the Garden: Romeo & Juliet - Experience Shakespeare's tale of love and tragedy with Huntsville Shakespeare at the Huntsville Botanical Garden's outdoor Amphitheatre. Happening on August 9 at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) This will be a family-friendly 90-minute version of Romeo and Juliet.

Rocket City Bluegrass Jam Weekly bluegrass jam on Sundays at Straight to Ale. Happening from 4 to 8 p.m. 

The Village of Providence Farmers and Artisans Market - Happening every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the market season runs from April 6 to November 30.
