HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Skateboarding enthusiasts of all skill levels were invited to the Get-A-Way Skate Park off Airport Road on Sunday in order to brush up their skills, aided by guidance from two professionals who were part of a history-making Olympic team.

Bryce Wettstein and Jordyn Barratt are both X-Games alumni and were part of the inaugural class of the USA Skateboarding National Team. They then competed with Team USA at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Sunday's Oververt Challenge was a high-energy skate jam with chances for participants to win cash and prizes on the three-quarter pipe. Some attendees were also gifted free boards and helmets supplied by Exposure Skate and The Skatepark Project.

Wettstein and Barratt held a clinic following the event, giving some of their expertise to the men, women, boys and girls who came to see and play among the best.
