FORT PAYNE, Ala. — A juvenile lost their life following a crash involving an ATV in Fort Payne on Wednesday.
The Fort Payne Police Department (FPD) reported that the incident happened in the 3100 block of Wallace Avenue NE, near Highway 35. Authorities received a phone call about the crash at around 4:08 p.m. According to officials, the collision involved a vehicle and an ATV.
A male juvenile was identified as one of the individuals involved and was transported to Dekalb Regional Medical Center, where he passed away due to injuries sustained from the crash.
The Fort Payne Police Department's traffic homicide investigators are currently investigating the crash.
FPD has stated that no charges are expected.
