MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA, Ala. — One person is dead after a shooting in Triana Monday night. According to the Madison County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened around 8:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Murphy Lane.
Multiple units from the Sheriff's Office and the Huntsville Police Department (HPD) responded to the scene. Upon arrival, officers found 37-year-old Trayvon Deshawn Harris suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Harris was transported to Huntsville Hospital by Huntsville Emergency Medical Services for treatment but unfortunately passed away from his injuries shortly after.
Major Crimes detectives and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) units are currently gathering evidence to determine what happened.
