UPDATE: Name released of man killed in wreck on Pulaski Pike

An adult is dead and three other people including a child are hurt in a car wreck Saturday afternoon, according to Huntsville Police.

UPDATE (11/24): Police say 71-year old Gene Harmon was killed in the crash.

The driver of the other car apparently told police the car in front of him hit their brakes and when he hit his brakes as well his car drifted into the opposing traffic lanes on Pulaski Pike. He swerved to try to avoid a collision, but so did the driver of the van Harmon was in. The two vehicles hit head-on.

Harmon was not wearing his seat belt and was killed. There were three other people in the van including a two-year old boy.

No word yet on if anyone will face charges.
