HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Village of Promise will host a free city-wide Thanksgiving meal Monday in downtown Huntsville, bringing together residents from across the community for a celebration of unity and diversity.

The event, called "One Table Huntsville," will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will feature a catered meal with vegan options available to accommodate different dietary preferences.

One Table Huntsville aims to unite people from all walks of life throughout the city, creating an opportunity for community members to give thanks and celebrate their diverse backgrounds together. The event is free and open to all area residents.

The organization behind this initiative has been serving the Huntsville community since 2011. Founded by Bobby Bradley and Gloria Batts, Village of Promise focuses on addressing the needs of children and families in under-resourced northwest Huntsville neighborhoods.

The organization's choice to host a community-wide Thanksgiving meal aligns with its mission of supporting and strengthening local communities.

The timing of the event, just days before the traditional Thanksgiving holiday, offers Huntsville residents an additional opportunity to participate in community celebration and giving thanks.

Anyone interested in attending One Table Huntsville can join the celebration downtown during the event hours. No registration is required,
