DECATUR, Ala. — UPDATE: Alabama Department of Corrections confirms that escaped inmates, Randall Sparks and Louis Pattillo have been recaptured.
Previous coverage: The Alabama Department of Corrections is asking for assistance in locating two men who escaped from their Decatur work center on Friday.
62-year-old Randall Sparks reportedly escaped around 1 a.m., and 51-year-old Louis Pattillo at around 7:35 p.m.
Documents supplied by ADOC say Sparks is serving a 20-year sentence for third-degree burglary in Russell County. Pattillo is recorded as serving a 20-year sentence for possession of a controlled substance out of Etowah County.
ADOC says that Pattillo is about 6 feet tall and around 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. ADOC believes he left the worksite in a Red 1996 GMC Sonoma with a silver toolbox.
Sparks is described as 5’11” and around 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Both men report to Lieutenant Nathaniel Odell.
