MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA, Ala. — Owens Cross Roads Police Officer Graves and his K-9 partner, Raven, came to the rescue on Saturday night, saving a young German Shepherd left tied to a tree near the Huntsville Utilities power substation.

Owens Cross Roads Police Officer Graves responded to a call regarding a dog at the intersection of Old Big Cove Road and Old Highway 431, where he found the German Shepherd alone. Rather than taking the dog to a pound, a community member stepped forward to adopt the pup.
