HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama, in collaboration with AARP Alabama, is set to host the Huntsville Shred Day on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will take place at Calhoun Community College located at 102 Wynn Dr. NW.
This shred day is for people to help protect their identities and contribute to environmental protection through a free drive-thru setup. Multiple services will be available, including document shredding. People can bring paper documents containing personal or financial information, with a limit of three kitchen-sized bags or three file storage boxes per vehicle. Shredding services will continue until the shred trucks reach full capacity. Additionally, electronic recycling will be offered for items weighing less than 100 lbs., such as TVs, computers, tablets, monitors, printers, and cell phones. Home appliances will not be accepted.
