Teen who cleaned up street after protest rewarded with car and scholarship

This teen never expected that his actions that afternoon would result in a full scholarship and a car.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — 18-year-old Antonio Gwynn spent ten hours cleaning up a neighborhood street after protests turned violent.

One local resident, Matt Block, saw the story in the news, and was so moved by it, he decided to gift his prized 2004 red mustang convertible to Gwynn.

A local businessman, Bob Briceland, then heard about the present and rewarded Gwynn with a year of free auto insurance coverage.

Gwynn says, "Like, it doesn't feel real. It seems like this is like a movie, just, going on."

Matt and Bob say:

"Oh, I just felt compelled to help him out and, uh, we need to get together and show people how, you know, there's so many good people here."

"I always wanted to just be someone that can help everyone with their car problems, so this is like a great opportunity I have right in front of me."

The rewards, however, did not stop there.

Gwynn was planning to go to a trade school to save for college, so, a local college stepped in and decided to offer Gwynn a full scholarship.

Gwynn plans to study business starting this fall and mechanics on the side.
