HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — More recreation may be coming to North Huntsville. According to an announcement by District 1 Councilman Devyn Keith, the Huntsville City Council approved a design contract for a roller skating rink at Stoner Park. He says the rink will most likely be in the northern or west-central portion of the park at 3715 Bragg St.
"We are working through the best site location and will be mindful of the surrounding residences as that will be important, too," said Ricky Wilkinson, Director of General Services for the City of Huntsville. Wilkinson expects design on the new rink will begin this month and continue through spring 2024.
