SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — Scottsboro Police arrested a high school student for making threats against Scottsboro High School. According to Scottsboro City Schools, the student will face "significant disciplinary consequences" consistent with the Code of Conduct and is barred from all school property an school events.
According to Scottsboro Police, the student was charged with making a terrorist threat in the second degree. The case remains under investigation.
Scottsboro City Schools is urging parents to talk to their children about the punishments that go along with making any type of threatening comment and says, "if you or your students see anything that could be construed as a threat towards any school, faculty or staff member, or student, please share that information with your school administrator immediately."
