Shepherd's Cove Hospice to host 'Lights of Love' event December 14

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. — Shepherd's Cove Hospice is holding its annual Lights of Love event featuring more than 800 luminaries on December 14.

Organizers say the family-friendly memorial event allows families and community members reflect on joyful with loved ones both past and present.

"Families are welcome to go through the evening's various activities at their own pace as best meets their needs," organizers said.

The memorial event will include cookies and the Frothy Dog coffee truck, live music, a free family photo area, a memorial craft and more.

Additionally, individuals can sponsor a light with a memorial message on the organization's virtual Christmas tree for $10. Other participation options include a $50 virtual light, luminary and personalized keep sake ornament or a $100 virtual light, luminary, ornament and a cedar tree to plant at home in memory of loved ones.

The organization says the proceeds will benefit Shepherd's Cove Hospice, Palliative Care, and Grief Support Services through the Shepherd's Cove Foundation. You can register through the group's website or call 256-891-7724 for more information.
