DECATUR, Ala. — Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn has identified the woman killed in Thursday’s shooting near the Decatur Big Lots as Yvette Fuller, 50, of Decatur.
At 11 p.m. Thursday, Decatur Police announced the arrest of Marcus Fuller, who has been charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting. He is being held in the Morgan County Jail without bond.
The shooting occurred near Big Lots on 6th Avenue. Officers found a man and a woman inside a vehicle who had been shot. Yvette Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was transported to Huntsville Hospital; his condition is currently unknown.
Detectives are continuing their investigation into the incident.
