Shred Day coming to Decatur

Shred documents, recycle old electronics, and get rid of unwanted medication at this one-day event.

DECATUR, Ala. — Have old documents, electronics, or medication you want to get rid of? The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama will host Decatur Shred Day on Saturday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at BComing Church in Decatur, AL.

This event will give area residents and small businesses the opportunity to help protect identities and the environment in a quick and easy drive-thru set up. The following FREE services will be available onsite:

Document Shredding: Only paper documents will be accepted. All other materials such as cardboard, plastic, metal, and binders must be removed. There is a limit of three large trash bags or file storage boxes per vehicle.

Electronics Recycling: Computers, tablets, cell phones, etc. will be accepted. NO televisions will not be accepted. Items must be less than 40 lbs. 

Drug Take-Back: Morgan County Sheriff's Office will be collecting prescription and over-the-counter medications. Needles will not be accepted.
