Suspect in Lawrence Co. Capital Murder case released from jail

One man charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths of Jimmy Lee Bolding and James Lemark Madden Lawrence County was released from jail.

Update: 10/16/17 Lawrence County, Ala. – Tamorris Oneil Bolding has been released from jail in a case surrounding a deadly double shooting in North Courtland.

Bolding faced a capital charge after he was arrested in July for the shooting death of Jimmy Lee Bolding and James Madden.

Bolding’s case was dismissed in a Lawrence County Court Monday.

Court documents show the court could not find probable cause in this case based on testimony presented in a preliminary hearing, which led to Bolding’s immediate release from the Lawrence County Jail.

The second suspect in the case, Deshaunn Deloney Jr., is still in jail. Deloney’s case has been bound over to a Grand Jury.

WZDX News did reach out to Lawrence County’s District Attorney’s Office and was told he left for the day.

Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell said Sheriff’s Investigators have arrested two men in connection with the July 7th shooting deaths of Jimmy Lee Bolding of Courtland and James Lemark Madden of Muscle Shoals. 

Mitchell said that Kevin Deshaunn Deloney Jr., 19 of 211 Gordon Dr. S.W. Apt A Decatur, AL, and Tamorris Oneil Bolding, 23, of 4165 River Rd Lot 8, Muscle Shoals, AL are both charged with two counts of Capital Murder. 

The Sheriff said Deloney and Bolding, whom were both persons of interest since early in the investigation, were found to be a strong suspects last week after investigators conducted several interviews.  Mitchell said that yesterday, investigators received information and evidence that led them to obtain arrest warrants for the two men. 

Sheriff Mitchell said that investigation is still ongoing and at this time no details surrounding the murders are being released.  However, Mitchell said that additional arrests are expected. He said that Deloney and Bolding are both being held in the Lawrence County Jail with no bond. 

Sheriff Mitchell said that he wants to thank the North Courtland Police Department, as well as the Decatur police department of their assistance with the investigation.
