HAZEL GREEN, Ala. — Madison County deputies say that the man they believed fired a gun at a passing car in Hazel Green over the weekend has been taken into custody in Lincoln County, Tennessee.
Investigators say 29-year-old Donnie Kent has been formally charged with two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
Investigators with the Madison County Sheriff's Office confirm two teens were fired at as they drove near the Hazel Green Pharmacy late Saturday night.
The teens reported being first run off the road before the driver of the other vehicle pulled out a gun and began shooting.
Neither of the teens were reportedly injured in the incident.
“We are pleased to announce an arrest in this case, which brings a measure of closure to the victims involved," stated Sheriff Kevin Turner of the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
