Three more students arrested for making threats to schools in Limestone County

Limestone County Sheriff's Office says students made threats to three different schools

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — On Tuesday, Limestone County Sheriff's Office said three more students were arrested for making threats at three different county schools. All the students were identified and arrested. 

According to Limestone County Sheriff's Office, one student told another student at West Limestone High School that they had a gun and intended to shoot them with it. A second student at Ardmore High School wrote a threat on a piece of paper that suggesting a shooting would occur at the school. Then a third student used the social media app, 'Snapchat',  to indicate that he had a gun to shoot another student attending Clements High School. 

Officials say they found no weapons at any of the schools where students made threats. 

Limestone County Sheriff Joshua McLaughlin shared a statement saying, "We are grateful for the bravery and courage of those who have come forward to report threats of harm towards others.  Thank you for being a role model and helping keep those around you safe."
