LAWRENCE COUNTY, ALABAMA, Ala. — A man is dead after being struck by a dump truck Monday morning.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the accident happened around 6:15 a.m. on Alabama 20 near Lawrence County 273, within the Town Creek city limits.
Troopers reported that 42-year-old Cedrick E. Garrett was walking in the roadway when he was hit by the dump truck. Garrett was pronounced dead at the scene.
ALEA is continuing to investigate the incident.
