TRINITY, Ala. — The Tennessee Valley Authority will begin replacing the Trinity transmission tower conductor lines across the Tennessee River starting the week of September 16. TVA has announced that boat traffic will be restricted from Monday, September 16, through Monday, September 23, 2024, due to the transmission work.
According to TVA, workers will be on-site daily from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., although these hours may change if there are delays. TVA will deploy six small vessels—four safety vessels and two police vessels—to warn boats approaching the work area.
Recreational and commercial boats can pass through the area only if they get approval from the onsite foreman. There will be no restrictions on boat traffic at night.
