Two North Alabama school employees test positive for COVID-19

Both schools released statements today.

MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA, Ala. — Two teachers of North Alabama schools have tested positive for COVID-19.

One is a teacher at Morris Middle School. Huntsville City Schools have notified families and staff members at both Morris Middle and Elementary schools.

Due to this, the Morris School site will no longer be a curbside meal distribution location.

The other is a teacher at Endeavor Elementary School. Students in her classroom have already been notified by phone 

The last known date both teachers were at school was Friday, March 13.

Families are encouraged to self-monitor for symptoms of coronavirus including fever, dry cough, body aches and shortness of breath. Additionally, families are recommended to continue practicing social distancing by remaining at home unless it involves work or obtaining essential items such as food and medicine.
