HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A top U.S. Army official made a stop at the Redstone Arsenal this week.
The Honorable Gabe Camarillo was sworn in as the Under Secretary of the Army back in early February, and this is his first time visiting the arsenal in his new role.
He visited the facilities for two days for a chance to see the partners and commands at the arsenal.
"When I come to a great installation like Redstone Arsenal, it's my opportunity to talk about everything from how are we, you know, developing talent and attracting talent to the army. Whether it's our civilian workforce that does so many great things for us here in Huntsville, and I know we are one of the biggest employers in the state but certainly in the region, also to include how are we managing installations? You know, what partnerships do we have with the industrial base which is very vibrant and very important to us here in the local market," said Camarillo.
Camarillo also serves as the 'Chief Management Officer of the Army'.
