FALKVILLE, Ala. — The Alabama Department of Transportation will be diverting traffic on US 31 southbound to the northbound bridge and roadway at Cedar Creek in Falkville on Monday, September 21.
The northbound roadway will carry one lane of traffic in each direction in this area.
This traffic diversion is so that a contractor will be able to prepare to replace the southbound bridge, which ALDoT said was constructed in 1931.
ALDoT said the project is expected to be completed next summer.
