FBI and U.S. Space & Rocket Center leaders signed a memorandum of understanding in support of U.S. Cyber Camp.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — The U.S. Space & Rocket Center and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are solidifying their partnership to teach students about cyber security.

On Wednesday, FBI and USSRC leaders signed a memorandum of understanding in support of U.S. Cyber Camp.

There is currently a gap in cyber security jobs. Their goal is to teach students about computer science and cyber security and help fill that gap.

The Rocket Center held its first U.S. Cyber Camp session in July 2017, with the help of Cyber Huntsville and the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Since then, the USSRC has continued to expand the program.

With the agreement, the FBI will provide curriculum development that includes realistic cyber scenarios and real-life responses. Cyber Camp students will hear from subject matter experts and get to tour the FBI facilities at Redstone Arsenal.
