Local students are getting mental health services more easily thanks to a partnership between local school systems and Wellstone.
The school-based therapy program helps children who struggle with anxiety, moodiness, and other mental health problems.

Students who enroll in the program get counseling during school hours from the school-based Wellstone counselor.
Madison County Schools started participating in the program last year and say they've already seen the benefits.
Keith Trawick, Supervisor of Student Services for Madison County Schools, said, "For those families that may not have the ability to get them to the NOVA center, which is the mental health center for children, then having that partnership on campus has been a huge benefit to our kids and families."
Students in the Huntsville City school system are also eligible for these counseling services.
