OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. — A franchisee of Whataburger will build on its presence in the Tennessee Valley with the addition of a location in Owens Cross Roads in 2025.
MWB Restaurants LLC, which is associated with the Texas-based restaurant chain, included Owens Cross Roads in a group of five future locations that are posted on Whataburger's website.
Other cities that will be targeted in the expansion included Gadsden, Ala., and Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Jasper in Tennessee.
MWB Restaurants is a privately-owned Whataburger franchisee that has built and operated restaurants across the region.
The company plans to expand to 90 locations across East Tennessee and North Alabama, according to its website.
The announcement of the Owens Cross Roads addition indicates it will open in the early part of next year. MWB did not specify where in Owens Cross Roads the restaurant would be built.
