When are Huntsville fall break camps?

When kids are out of school for fall break, Huntsville Parks and Rec has activities for them.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Fall weather is coming and that means time for more fun with Huntsville Parks & Rec. With over 100 activities, almost all of them free, there's something for every member of the family. This includes kids on fall break.

Want to meet a fitness goal? The City’s recreation and community centers provide everything from Zumba classes to a Couch to 5K program. Feeling adventurous? Try a group mountain bike ride, with options for beginners and intermediate-level riders. Want to get in on the pickleball craze? There are classes for all ages and skill levels.

For those who love to create, Huntsville Parks & Recreation hosts art classes and embroidery workshops, even a parent-child woodworking clinic. Individuals with disabilities can enjoy free art classes, dance fitness, water aerobics and soccer lessons.

The Fall Program Guide also breaks down traditional and nontraditional athletic offerings. There are pickup games and basketball clinics, kickball and cornhole, boxing and badminton, along with volleyball, soccer, golf, futsal and table tennis.

Want to work on your fitness goals? There are walking groups, line dancing, capoeira, Tai Chi, water exercise and swimming, and more. Something a little less active? Lean to play dominoes, bridge, or whist, check out the chess and stamp clubs, and meet up for coffee and conversation.

Fall special events include a Parents Nights Out, Jazz in the Park, and Sweat-Tember Fitness Fun. Click here to view the guide.
