LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. — The West Lauderdale Water and Fire Protection Authority has declared a temporary water outage affecting residents in Lauderdale County. The interruption is expected to last for several hours and will affect residents from Highway 20 at Natchez Trace to the Tennessee state line.
According to a Facebook post from the West Lauderdale Water and Fire Protection Authority, the outage is a result of heightened leaks and water usage. In the post, the authority stated, "We have no choice but to turn the water off in this area to allow tanks to refill."
