Two Madison County residents who were on the bus during the crash are suing Teague VIP Express and its driver.

George and Hassie Nance are suing the bus company and driver, Robin S. Vines claiming the bus was being improperly operated under the weather conditions causing the driver to lose control of the bus. The lawsuit also says Vines was not licensed as a commercial vehicle driver in Alabama, and Teague VIP Express failed to properly hire, supervise, and/or train Vines.

According to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, at about 12:35 in the afternoon, a tour bus carrying 46 people from Huntsville, AL to Tunica, MS crashed. As a result, there were 44 injuries and two fatalities. The injured were taken to several different hospitals with a wide variety of injuries.

Survivors of the crash arrive back in Huntsville the day after the accident.
