Earlier this summer, we reported that South Huntsville was chosen as one of three new Main Street Designated communities in Alabama.
The new district begins just north of Martin Road and includes the commercial corridor along the Parkway all the way to Ditto Landing and the Tennessee River.
The Main Street Alabama Resource team will be in town for three days this week, getting to know our community and building the foundation for revitalization plans for the area.
You can give your input at multiple meetings:
– Tuesday, August 7th, 5 – 8 pm, “Community Vision Session” at Grissom High School Cafeteria
– Wednesday, August 8th, 4-6 pm, “On-Street Community Engagement” at Rosie’s Center at Byrd Spring Rd & Memorial Parkway SW
– Thursday, August 9th, 4:30 pm, “Public Presentation of Observations & Recommendations” at Grissom High School Auditorium
