Two Men and a Truck’s annual spring campaign Movers for Moms received an overwhelming amount of support and donations for the 2019 event.
The organization reports that over 22,630 items were donated to benefit Downtown Rescue Mission’s women’s and children’s shelter Owen’s House. Two full 26-foot trucks will be dropping off the items at the shelter tomorrow morning, May 11.
“This will benefit 98 women in total as of today and 32 children,” Ms. Patti Moody, Downtown Rescue Mission’s Resident Advisor, said. “The benefits will actually affect many more in the coming months.”
