A historic building in Huntsville is getting new life. One Hundred Eleven Washington Street has been empty for almost three years.
Renovations are underway for a new restaurant on the first level and six thousand square feet of office or retail space on the second level. Mockups from Schrimsher Properties show a new glass door entrance, but the developers hope they can bring back some of the building’s old charm.
Property manager, Joyce Skinner, says, “The Everett Building was the Heritage Club for so many years. And such a staple to the Huntsville area. Having purchased the property it’s allowing us to redevelop it and bring new life to the downtown area.”
The owner of the restaurant has not been released. But we do know they will have an eclectic menu with a large craft beer selection and they plan to announce themselves later this summer.
