HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — We're exactly thirty days away from Election Day, and groups in Huntsville are helping people register to vote and apply for absentee ballots.
'Vote Gone Viral' held their voter registration drive thru service on Sunday at two local churches. One happening at Zion Progress Missionary Baptist Church, and Beaver Dam Primitive Baptist Church.
One woman who just restored her rights to vote says she's happy to now mark her ballot on November 3rd.
"Your opinion matters. Your vote matters, and when you don't have that right it really matters. And I have that right today. And it matters, I get it!" says Bobbie Jo Pincheon.
'Vote Gone Viral' Volunteer, Tammy Hayes, says Pincheon's story can inspire other people to register to vote.
"It just really does something for us letting us know we're doing something. If we just get one or two people to register, that's important. That means a lot," says Hayes.
'Vote Gone Viral' will have a 'Brunch & Ballad' drive thru next Saturday, October 10th, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Maitland Conservatory.
