HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Municipal elections for mayor and City Council members in Huntsville and Madison are on August 25.
On August 11, candidates met for a virtual town hall hosted by the American Association of University Women (AAUW), the League of Women Voters of Tennessee Valley, and United Women on Color - Huntsville.
The candidates for Huntsville mayor went first, followed by the Madison candidates.

City Council candidates will meet for virtual town halls on Wednesday, August 12. Our Keneisha Deas will be moderating these discussions.
Previously, some Huntsville and Madison candidates participated in an LGBT+ focused town hall, and City of Madison candidated participated in a forum. hosted by the Republican Women of Madison.
The League of Women Voters of Tennessee Valley hosts drive-up Voter Service events in Huntsville and Madison. The next one is Saturday, August 15, at the Downtown Huntsville Public Library.
