PENSACOLA, Fla. — An Alabama woman is heading back home a multi-millionaire after winning the top prize in a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.
Lottery officials announced that 47-year-old Jessica Callihan won the $10 million prize from the $20 Gold Rush Legacy Scratch-Off game.
Callihan, who lives in Foley, Alabama, bought the winning prize at the Cumberland Farms location in the area of Perdido Key Drive in Pensacola.
She took her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $6.03 million, with Cumberland Farms receiving a $20,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.
The $20 Gold Rush Legacy Scratch-Off game features four top prizes of $10 million and 20 prizes of $1 million, totaling more than $894 million in total cash prizes.
The overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.97.
Scratch-off games make up 74% of the Florida Lottery ticket sales in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
