Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville nominates 30 students for appointments to U.S. Service Academies

Senator Tommy Tuberville nominated 30 students, including three from North Alabama.

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) today announced his nomination of 30 high school and preparatory school students to United States service academies, including the U.S Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy, and U.S. Naval Academy as a part of the class of 2028.

“In a time of global instability, our military needs brave young men and women to ensure America continues to have the strongest fighting force in the world,” said Senator Tuberville “It’s an honor to nominate these great Alabamians to our United States service academies. I am thankful for their desire to serve and defend our country. I look forward to following their continued success and know they will continue to make our state proud.”

Service academy nominees must be residents of Alabama and undergo an extensive application process to receive a nomination. Applicants must complete the required ACT and SAT exams, and provide letters of recommendation, a school transcript, along with the required application form.
