UPDATE 09/25 – Jackson County Sheriff’s officials say an autopsy has confirmed the identity of the man found murdered in a wooded area off of County Road 86 in Woodville.
David Cristen Lorenzo Rivamonte, from Huntsville, was just released from the Madison County Jail after his arrest for Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Inuries. He was reported missing shortly after his release from jail and it was two weeks later before his body was found in Jackson County.
WZDX first reported on Sunday that court documents named Rivamonte as the victim of murder.
Brandon Berry was arrested and charged with shooting Rivamonte, according to the arrest warrant.

A Jackson County man is now facing Kidnapping and Murder charges. Brandon Berry was already in the Jackson County jail on unrelated charges. He was served the new warrants Thursday evening.
On September 14, a body was found off County Road 86 in Woodville. The body was buried in a wooded area near a home there. A tip led deputies to the body.
