There will soon be a new way to learn about part of Huntsville’s history.
Land Trust of North Alabama recently got a grant to fund an audio tour along the Old Railroad Bed Trail at the Monte Sano Nature Preserve. The trail runs along the path of a railway built in the 1800s.
Once the tour is available, all you will have to do is use a GPS triggered app for your phone and walk the trail. They are working with local historians to plan out the tour and hope for it to be ready by the end of this year.
