This may be one of the coolest ways to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11.
A man by the name of Ben Feist, working with a team of producers and a wealth of archival material, has produced Apollo 11 in Real Time, which he calls, “A real-time journey through the first landing on the Moon.”
The website says it consists entirely of original historical mission material, including photos, video, transcripts, audio, and more.
It’s an immersive experience, and one that even a space novice can get lost in. You can skip forwards or backwards, watch the launch, examine footage, photos, and sound, and learn what happened behind-the-scenes of this historic mission.
Want more? The site provides links to a wealth of Apollo 11 and other NASA historical footage.
