A wreck on Hwy. 72 at Woodville Hill closed the road on Thursday while crews worked on cleanup.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, a semi ran into a parked or stopped utility truck. One of the trucks caught fire but was extinguished by the responding volunteer fire department.
Only minor injuries were reported, but the road was blocked while debris was cleared and a minor fuel spill cleaned up.
Alabama State Troopers are investigating the accident and Jackson County EMA was on site to monitor the spill cleanup.
