Redstone Arsenal is now accepting applications for the installation access badge.
With an access badge the public can get into the Arsenal without a sponsor. The Arsenal says so far 135 people have applied for an access badge. All requests will be vetted through a background check process, and approved applicants will be notified when they are ready for pick-up.
“Give the privilege of entering the installation for six months and then review your file to make sure we don’t have any additional warrants or any felonies on that individual and then reissue [the pass],” said Kelsey Smith Redstone Arsenal Garrison Commander.
With the Redstone access badge you’ll be able to use community spaces like the convention center, bowling alley, and golf course.
