GLENDALE, Ariz. — Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is now the holder of an NFL record, but it is one he probably wishes he didn't hold.

On Sunday against the Patriots, McBride set the NFL record for most passes caught without catching a touchdown pass with 89.

McBride set the record on a shovel pass from quarterback Kyler Murray in the fourth quarter that saw him get tackled one yard short of the endzone.

He passed Diontae Johnson, who set the record back in 2022 when he caught 86 passes without catching a touchdown pass while playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, it's not all bad for the former Colorado State Ram and Mackey Award winner. McBride leads the Cardinals in receptions (89) and receiving yards (938).
