The Alabama A&M women's basketball program closed out their 2020 recruiting class earlier this week by adding graduate transfer Kierra Johnson-Graham, forward from Liberty University.
The 5-11 forward from Atlanta, Ga. scored over 400 points and grabbed more than 250 rebounds in her career, and was named ASUN All-Tournament team in 2019 after averaging 12 points and 7.7 rebounds in the tournament for the Flames. before electing to play out her last year of eligibility with the Lady Bulldogs.
Prior to her collegiate career, Johnson-Graham played three years at South Atlanta High School, where she was coached by her mother, before playing her senior year at Tucker High School and helping guide the Lady Tigers to a 27-5 record and Georgia AAAAAA state runner-up finish. The forward also earned All-state honors all four years of her prep career.
"I think Kierra will add a lot of leadership to our team, she is coming to us from a winning program with great tradition," head coach Margaret Richards stated. "We were looking to add another experienced player in the frontcourt and she definitely fits that mold. She will add versatility in the paint with her ability to post up, face up and rebound. She is very aggressive and I look forward to coaching her for her last year of eligibility to see what we can accomplish together on here on The Hill."
Johnson-Graham completes the 2020 recruiting class for the Lady Bulldogs, who also added guards Azonya Austin and Darian Burgin in November, both of whom earned All-region honors this past season.
