What time do the new AP Top 25 rankings come out?

Typically during the regular season, the AP releases the top 25 at 1 p.m. Huntsville time.

However the AP rankings shake out, it's the College Football Playoff rankings that will determine the 12 teams that will compete for a national championship. The first rankings for the CFP come out next month.

When do the College Football Playoff rankings come out?

While the AP poll is the rankings during much of the season, it’s the CFP rankings will determine which teams play for a national championship this season. The first ranking of the CFP comes out on Nov. 5.  The College Football Playoff came into existence in 2014, but until this season, had only included the top four teams. This year, the CFP will expand to 12 teams.  Here’s a look at the committee that will choose those teams.
