ATHENS, Ala. — Athens High School proudly names Kori Walker as Head Coach of Athens High School Boys Basketball!
Coach Walker has held the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach position at Decatur High School for the past four seasons. He previously served as Assistant Coach at Gadsden State Community College and Gadsden High School as well as Head Basketball Coach at Cherokee County High School, Litchfield Middle School, and Gadsden Middle School.
Coach Walker, a graduate of Gadsden High School, attended Jacksonville State University where he earned both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.
“I am always grateful for the opportunities that God places in my life. While I am saddened to leave my Decatur High family, I am eager to join the Athens Golden Eagles and start a legacy as Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. My family and I are excited to be a part of the Athens community,“ said Walker.
