FLORENCE, Ala. — (UNA Athletics) After playing two seasons at the NAIA and JUCO levels, Reagan Hune has signed with the University of North Alabama women’s basketball team. The 5-10 guard/forward combo played her freshman season at Indiana University East before transferring to Palm Beach State College last season. She will be a junior on the Lions’ 2021-22 roster.
“Reagan will add speed and athleticism to our guard/forward position,” said UNA women’s basketball head coach Missy Tiber. “She is a hard worker and eager to improve. I think she will thrive in our running game as she really works to beat her defender down the floor. I like that she has two years of collegiate experience as well. Reagan has a great personality and a maturity that will help the younger kids grow.”
At Palm Beach State, Hune was a first team All-Southern Conference selection for NJCAA Region 8. She led the Panthers in scoring a 11.6 points per game and was second on the glass with 6.2 rebounds per game. She also shot 47 percent from the floor, including a 33 percent mark from three-point range.
At Indiana University-East, the Carmel, Ind., native averaged 14.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest as a true freshman at the NAIA level.
