"There was 10 games left, 5 at home and we were gearing up for the playoffs... and then all of a sudden the season was done just like that," said Huntsville Havoc defenseman Nolan Kaiser.

Like many other teams across the country, the Huntsville Havoc's last season was cut short.

"It was tough, I mean we didn't know what was going on and then all of a sudden it's done," said Kaiser. "So I think with the shortened season this year and not as many teams, it's going to be really competitive so it's going to be fun and we have to get ready to go right away."

In just five days the Havoc will be taking the ice for their season opener.

Head Coach Glenn Detulleo said this season is all about unfinished business.

"It just didn't feel right the way that it ended," said Coach Detulleo. "So I think the guys are just excited to bump into someone else and have some physical contact and just play hockey and compete. They just want to get out there and play hockey and do something that they love to do."

The Havoc are the reigning SPHL Champions and since they didn't get a chance to defend their crown last season, they definitely have their eye on the prize this year.

"Everyone has the same goal. We want to win again. We want to win another championship," said Kaiser.

The Havoc's first game will be at home on December 26th at 7 p.m. against the Knoxville Ice Bears.
